Sleep Support and Relaxation Sessions
Our Sleep Support and Relaxation Sessions will start again in February 2024. We will provide more information on these in January.
The sessions are facilitated by the Recovery Coordinators from Hope: Asylum Seekers and Refugees Trauma Service who share skills on how to relax and prepare for sleep.
In these sessions the facilitators identify the problems you have with your sleep and give you tips on what you should do or not before going to bed. They provide a space where you can relax and disconnect through breathing activities, muscle relaxation exercises, and art making. You're also given a package to take home with lavender balm, relaxing tea and an anti-stress ball. Our facilitators advise you on different relaxation techniques that you can do at home.
The sessions are held at Borderlands, The Assisi Centre, Lawford's Gate, BS5 0RE and if you come by bus we will reimburse your bus ticket (up to amount of £5).
These classes are facilitated by Tim who used to be a member of Borderlands!
Come and sew, speak English and learn with us! All the materials are provided.
Every Wednesday at Borderlands.
For refugee and asylum seeker women only.
Bella, the yoga teacher, offers a relaxing space where women from different backgrounds can unwind through movement, breathing and meditation.
These classes are held every Wednesday from 11:30am to 12:30pm at Borderlands.
