Sleep Support and Relaxation Sessions
Are you an asylum seeker, refugee or immigrant with insecure status who suffers from stress or anxiety? Do you struggle to sleep?
Join us for our Sleep Support and Relaxation Sessions at Borderlands. These sessions will be facilitated by the Recovery Coordinators from Hope: Asylum Seekers and Refugees Trauma Service who will share skills on how to relax and prepare for sleep.
What happens in these sessions?
In these sessions the facilitators will identify the problems you have with your sleep and will give you tips on what you should do or not before going to bed.
It will also be a space where you can relax and disconnect through breathing activities, muscle relaxation exercises, and art making.
We will also give you a package to take home with lavender balm, relaxing tea and an anti-stress ball. Our facilitators will advise you on different relaxation techniques that you can do at home.
Our facilitators speak English, Albanian, Greek, Spanish, Kurdish and some Arabic. If your first language is other than the ones listed above, please note that you will need to have at least a basic level of English to attend these sessions.
Do I need a high level of English?
